The Federal Employment agency is the granting authority for the special programme. This means it examines incoming applications for support and it issues approvals.


International and Specialized Services (ZAV) attracts trainees from abroad.


The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) is funding The Job of my Life.

Support through EURES

The EURES network (European Employment Services) is a Europe-wide network of public employment services and important partners of the ZAV in the search for suitable candidates.


The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) has set itself the task of supporting employment-related German language skills among people with migrant backgrounds who are seeking work or professional advancement. In the context of The Job of my Life, BAMF provides a list of ESF-BAMF-recognised language course providers.


The implementation of vocational training in companies in Germany is controlled by the chambers of commerce and industry as well as the chambers of crafts and trades. They examine whether a company possesses the "qualification to train" and whether personally and professionally suitable trainers are employed there.


The Goethe Institute is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany throughout the world and offers language courses in Germany and abroad.

Senior Experten Service (SES)

The Foundation of German Industry for International Cooperation

Volunteer Support for Trainees Initiative (VerA)

Senior Experten Service offers interested retirees the opportunity to pass on their skills and knowledge to others, both within Germany and abroad. In Germany it is especially active in helping trainees. On request and within the framework of the VerA initiative, SES provides a personal assistant to accompany a trainee during vocational training – professionals in retirement who work as volunteers. This service is available throughout Germany and is open to interested trainees from all European countries.
